A bit nonplussed really.
I had to decide whether to vote for the party I wanted to vote for or the party I wanted to win out of Lib Dem and Labour. I went for the first one.
My decision was either vote Labour out of Cardiff or vote for what I believe is best for Wales. Plaid took my vote.
Can't wait for the night ahead!
I voted Lib Dem with no real enthusiasm for Jenny Willott. Something about her reminds me of a hairdresser in a child custody court...
And it looks like the big LibDem surge hasn't happened. Surprise surprise...
Willott's in, and it wasn't even close. It is a new dawn, is it not? *Cough*
I'm disappointed. I thought the Labour party might be bigger than the war/Blair. And the students fell for the Lib Dem's promises, which they will never have to deliver.
Well, we've got a result. Jenny has won. Let's hope she's mroe student-friendly than our former MP. ;)
You mean the one who voted against tuition fees?
It's interesting to note that, according to Channel 4 News, five of the Labour MPs voted out were in student heartlands. Didn't they win the top-up fee debate by five votes?
I don't really like Jenny Willott. Or the Lib Dems...I'm not sure if she has a personality yet. The all-things-to-all-people persona is a bit off putting.
I agree with you about Willott - I can picture her as a 1997-intake Blair babe: zero substance. But I voted for her party's platform, not for her, so as long as she gets in line and stands up to No Trousers, I'll be happy. And at least she won't have the problem of being called into gubmint any time soon.
